Where are the backup servers located?

Our backup servers are located in 2 Data Centers. Depending on your needs, one backup server can be placed on your premises with a duplicate in our Data Center.

What must I do to start using EuroBackup?

  1. Install the agent software on each computer where you want to back up data.
  2. Create a backup set that will include all the data to be backed up.
  3. Execute the backup set or program its execution subsequently.

What bandwidth do I need to use your services?

Our solution is compatible with all types of existing connections (ADSL, SDSL, Leased Line) and already operates with an ADSL connection.

How are invoices drawn up?

Invoices are drawn up every three months on the basis of the space reserved on our servers for backing up your data.

Is a mirroring server enough to protect me from losing data?

It will protect you from loss of material, but not from data corruption or data-processing errors, which would immediately be duplicated on the mirroring disk.

What are the accepted Operating Systems?

Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Sun Solaris, Novell Netware

What happens if I lose my password?

We do not know your password. If you lose it, you will have to create a new account and backup set.

How does EuroBackup protect my data?

We keep two copies of your data on our secure servers placed in 2 Data Centers located at separate sites with 24/24 surveillance.

Your data are backed up on one server and then duplicated on a second one.

The data kept on each server are also duplicated on to several disks to ensure total redundancy.

What happens if my connection with the server is interrupted during the backup procedure?

The local agent will try to reconnect automatically to the server at regular intervals and will carry on the backup from the point where it stopped as soon as the connection is re-established.

What types of data can be backed up?

Simple files (Word, Excel, jpg, etc.), the Status of the System, the Lotus/Domino server, the MS-Exchange server (with Mail Level Backup), MS-SQL databases, MySQL databases, ORACLE databases.

Can open files be backed up?

Yes (on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista)

How many file archives can be kept?

You decide: you define your retention plan in accordance with your security imperatives.

Service Guarantee or Service Level Agreement

EUROBACKUP guarantees a repair time of less than five working hours for any “breakdown” in the Services.

In case of any default by EUROBACKUP in its commitment with regard to repair time, the customer will be entitled to financial compensation.
